Golf Orange believes that the health and well-being for all participants and our community is paramount in making any decision about the conduct of this year’s Championship.
Advice from Clubs NSW and GolfNSW refers to the recommendations of NSW Health that we do not hold events that bring people together from other regions.
It is also noted that the current position of the NSW Government is that we should not undertake any non-essential travel. In the current circumstances, travel from all over the state and return to home locations to play golf is non-essential travel.
Following discussions this week with senior staff at Golf Orange, it has been determined to postpone this year’s Championships scheduled for the 3rd to 5th October, 2020.
This has been a difficult decision for all Golf Orange staff, Duntryleague and Wentworth golf courses.
Golf Orange will be refunding each registration over the coming days. If you have registered to play via the online form on our website, you will receive your refund back onto the credit card you paid with. If you have sent us your registration with credit card details, we will be refunding back to your nominated card.
This is disappointing news for all, however, we thank you for your understanding.
